Fae 2019: Me llamo Suleimán
The 9th International Festival of Performing Arts (Fae 2019), invites you to see the Spanish work “Me llamo Suleimán”, by the author Antonio Lozano and performed by Marta Viera, under the direction of Mario Vega. The presentation will take place at the Balboa Theater on Thursday, March 14, at 7:30 p.m.
My name is Suleiman is a raw history that tells the stormy journey from Mali to the Canary Islands that faces a teenager fleeing misery. It becomes an empathetic “tour de force” interpretive of its protagonist, Marta Vieira, who unfolded with magic and genius in the main characters and makes this a striking and highly emotional montage. The dramatic and scenic complement is a remarkable audiovisual animation that rounds out the excellence of the result, printing an outstanding contemporary image.
The International Festival of Performing Arts of Panama (FAE) is a biennial artistic-cultural event, which brings together a selection of the best of theater and contemporary dance in Latin America and the world in the Panamanian capital for a week. It will take place from March 14 to 20 in different scenarios.
