Culticulous Picnic invites you to go out and claim your right to the city, leisure and public space having fun with a “War of Pillows”, to be held on Saturday, April 6 at 5:00 pm in Parque Andrés Bello. Entrance is free. It is worth mentioning that this day is the International War of Pillows, commemorating the game and peace.
In 2004, the United Nations Program for Human Settlements (UN-Habitat) developed the so-called World Charter for the Right to the City. In 2011, the UCLG World Council formally adopted the Charter. Panama City is part of this council.
This letter, to which we are directly linked, speaks of the right of all citizens “to participate in the ownership of the urban territory”, since the public and private spaces and goods of the city must be used “prioritizing the social, cultural interest and environmental “.
