World Music Panama 2019 on this occasion invites you to the presentation of “Adrián Iaies & Colegiales Trío”, the Argentine pianist with the Colombian Diana Arias on the double bass and the Argentinean Facundo Guevara, considered one of the great figures of the world percussion , they will be interpreting in a beautiful and subtle way a varied repertoire of popular Argentine music. This will be a concert that will involve the audience in an incomparable musical atmosphere.
Adrián Iaies: pianist, composer, arranger and producer. Current artistic director of the international jazz festival of Buenos Aires. Nominated three times to the Latin GRAMMY awards for his albums “Las Tardecitas de Minton’s” (2000), “Tango reflections” (2002) and “Las cosas tiene movimiento” (2003).
Facundo Guevara: Argentine percussionist, born in the city of Mendoza. He studied percussion in the School of Music of the Faculty of Arts of the National University of Mendoza. Between 1992 and 1993 he studied classical and Afro-Cuban percussion at the Instituto de formación musical Ignacio Cervantes in Havana, Cuba.
Diana Arias: Born in Cali – Colombia. He currently resides in Buenos Aires. In 2007, he finished his musical interpretation career with an emphasis on double bass in the “Antonio María Valencia Conservatory”, studying double bass with Alfredo Patiño, and receiving a laureate mention at the degree recital.
The concert will be held on Thursday, June 20, at 8:00 pm at the Athenaeum of the City of Knowledge. Tickets will be on sale soon in TicketPlus.
