The trombone, saxophone and drums come together on the same stage, in the hands of the exceptional international musicians “Antony Fung, Pj Anderson and Tracy Knoop”, who will be offering a concert full of rhythm, melodies and virtuosity, which surely They will delight the audience.
This presentation, which will be held on Thursday, January 16, at 9:00 pm at danilo´s Jazz Club, is part of the “17th Panama Jazz Festival” “. The Great Patio Party”, which honors this edition to the renowned Panamanian saxophonist “Reggie Johnson”.
“Antony Fung” (USA): drummer, composer, producer and conductor Anthony Fung was born in Richmond Hill, Canada, and has been playing drums since he was ten years old. Currently based in Los Angeles, California, Antony has established himself as one of the most promising drummers of his generation.
“PJ Andersson” (Sweden): trombonist, composer and educator, a native of Nässjö, Sweden. He has three albums under his own name. In 2016, PJ began its first community outreach program in Toronto, Canada. Since then, he has worked with music for social change at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, USA. UU. and at the Panama Jazz Festival.
“Tracy Knoop” (USA): originally from the Pacific Northwest, the saxophonist is one of the best known jazz artists and masters in the region. After graduating from the Berklee School of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, he joined the world-famous Tommy Dorsey orchestra and toured with them for ten years. Tracy has performed with great characters such as Louis Bellson, Ray Charles, Natalie Cole, Bernadette Peters, among many others.
