17º Festival de Jazz de Panamá – Berklee Global Jazz Institute & David Sánchez y Osvaldo Ayala

“La Gran Fiesta del Patio” the “17th Panama Jazz Festival” presents the great concert of “Berklee Global Jazz Institute & David Sánchez and Osvaldo Ayala”. It will be a bolero night with talented musicians, the Puerto Rican saxophonist and as a special guest the “The Scorpion of Paritilla”. A true delight of rhythm and virtuosity that will leave the public in a sensory ecstasy.

The Festival this year will be held in tribute to the renowned Panamanian saxophonist “Reggie Johnson”. This musical and cultural party will feature different activities that include: clinics, auditions, symposia, live art, workshops, concerts, jam sessions and global stage.

“Berklee Global Jazz Institute” (Global): is a creative music institute with a progressive vision to develop the artist of the new millennium. His curriculum is designed to foster creativity and musicality through various musical disciplines, with the pianist and composer Danilo Pérez as its artistic director.

“David Sánchez” (Puerto Rico): The winner of the GRAMMY award is recognized worldwide as one of the best saxophonists of his generation. His mastery of the instrument is undeniable and its sound unmistakable. Combine that with Sanchez’s deep knowledge of jazz and Latin music, and the traditions that shape them, and the results are extraordinary.

“Osvaldo Ayala” (Panama): recognized as one of the best Accordionists in the World, Icon of music in Panama with 40 years of artistic career is one of the prominent figures of typical-popular music in Panama, is the great innovator and who gave a more professional and modern dimension to executive music with accordion of our country.
