The “17th Panama Jazz Festival” is full of master concerts and one of them will be the one that the “Danilo Pérez Big Band Foundation” will offer on Friday, January 17 at 10:30 pm in Villa Agustina. Where the talent and virtuosity of prominent musicians, will be revealed in a spectacular presentation.
This “Great Patio Party” is, in homage to the renowned Panamanian saxophonist “Reggie Johnson”. As is tradition, different activities will be carried out, including clinics, auditions, symposiums, live art, workshops, concerts, jam sessions and global stage.
“Big Band of Fundación Danilo Pérez” (Panama): this group was born in 2019, with the purpose of creating an interactive musical space between professional musicians and students of the Danilo Pérez Foundation through a collaboration workshop to develop and explore Original compositions in the “big band” format.
“Danilo Pérez Foundation” (Panama): it was established in 2005 in Panama City, Republic of Panama, but the work and spirit that personifies its mission have its origins more than 50 years ago when Danilo Pérez Urriola, father of the pianist Panamanian of the same name, developed music education programs in Colon, Panama with young people at risk.
