8 Festival Internacional de Danza de Panamá: Prisma
As part of the presentations made at the 8th International Festival of Contemporary Dance of Panama “PRISMA”, which will take place from October 3 to 13, we invite you to see “The Man Who Travelled Nowhere in Time” of Trip The Light Fantastic (Canada). The performance will be on Wednesday, October 9, at 8:00 pm at the Anita Villalaz Theater.
“The Man Who Travelled Nowhere in Time” is a work based on a young man named Eytan. He sees that the world around him changes, evolves and grows, while he remains the same. Your trip is a quest to understand why you never grow old and die like the people around you.
What he doesn’t know is that it only exists in the dreams and in the subconscious minds of others. Every day he sees people coming down a hallway, which is just the point between reality and the subconscious. And it is only in this place where he manages to be in the same space and time as the other people around him. This work questions what is real and how we create our own reality.
TTLF is a Montreal Community dance company that involves dance artists and visual artists. The company’s movement language combines contemporary and urban styles with structured improvisation
“Prisma” is an independent project of Contemporary Scene, under the direction of Analida Galindo and Ximena Eleta de Sierra. It has been created for the promotion and development of contemporary dance in Panama. Through a set of national and international artist shows, street performances, workshops, master classes, projections and conversations.
