Panama Ballet Festival presents the “Ballet Don Quijote” gala, an impeccable production directed by José Manuel Carreño and with the main performances of the spectacular Argentine dancer “Marianela Núñez” as Kitri and the talented Brazilian dancer “Gustavo Carvalho” as Basilio.
A beautiful staging can enjoy the public, with a cast of dancers that perfectly complement a musical work, full of charisma beauty, talent and majesty.

“Marianela Núñez”. She is an Argentine classical dancer and one of the main dancers at the Royal Ballet, London. It is known for its “gold standard technique”. Nunez is known for his refined style and for demonstrating a unique understanding of the style of choreographer Frederick Ashton.
“Gustavo Carvalho”: He began his ballet studies at the Marcia Sampaio Company in 2004. In 2009 he joined the Companhia Brasileira de Ballet as a Soloist and then as First Dancer. In 2014 he won a Bronze Medal in the USA / IBC International Competition. In 2015 he joined the BNS and promoted to First Dancer in the 2016 season.
“José Manuel Carreño”, has been a principal dancer in the English National Ballet in 1990, The Royal Ballet in 1993 and the American Ballet Theater since 1995. In 2004 Carreño received the Dance Magazine Award for his important contributions to the world of ballet.
