Antón Pávlovich Chéjov: Framing in the more psychological current of realism and naturalism, he was a master of the short story, being considered one of the most important writers of this genre in the history of literature.
As a dramatist, he became involved in naturalism, although with certain touches of symbolism, and he wrote a few works, of which the best known are The Seagull (1896), Uncle Vania (1897), The Three Sisters (1901) and The Garden of the cherry trees (1904).
