“Global Curatorship from here” is a seminar given by the prestigious international curator Gerardo Mosquera. During 5 sessions that will occupy a total of 14 hours, Mosquera will guide you through the ins and outs of the universe of visual arts and curatorship.
1 – Introduction to curatorship.
2 – Art, globalization and cultural processes Cure Latin America?
3 – Anti-hegemonic curatorship.
4 – Special session | Visit and discussion of the sample curated by the teacher at NG Art Gallery.
5 – Curators outside auratic spaces and extension of the public.
With more than 40 years of international experience, Gerardo Mosquera has been co-curator of the Johannesburg and Liverpool Biennials, assistant curator of the New Museum of Contemporary Art, in New York; and co-founder of the Havana Biennial. He has also been the chief curator of the Triennal Poli / Gráfica de San Juan and the XXI Biennial of Art Paiz in Guatemala.
