El Silencio de Otros
As part of the commemoration of the 80 years of Spanish exile, the documentary “El Silencio de Otros” is released in Panama. directed by Almudena Carracedo and Robert Bahar, who portrays the silenced struggle of the victims of the dictatorship of Francisco Franco.
Filmed over six years, with a direct and intimate cinema style, the film accompanies the regime’s survivors as they organize the so-called “Argentine Complaint” and confront a “pact of oblivion” about the crimes they suffered, in a country still divided after four decades of democracy.
Produced by Pedro Almodóvar, since its premiere, it has received more than 30 awards and nominations in national and international film competitions.
The screening will take place on Wednesday, October 16, at 7:00 pm at the Gladys Vidal Theater. Admission is free, until completing quota.
