“If this is a Man”. Staging starring the first Venezuelan actor “Javier Vidal” and directed by the first actress “Julie Restifo”, is a piece based on the book by Primo Levi, one of the most influential Judeo-Italian writers of the twentieth century, where he tells his experience in the Nazi concentration camp in Auschwitz and his subsequent release following the arrival of the Russian army.
This work that has successfully traveled throughout Latin America tells the real testimony of the unspeakable, explains the inhuman without being complicit in the violence. This monologue aims to raise awareness about a fact that marked a dark era in history.

Primo Levi (Turin, 1919-1987) was born into a Jewish family based in Piedmont. In 1941, he graduated as a chemist Summa cum laude at the University of Turin, a profession he would later practice, along with his literary activity. After participating in the resistance of northern Italy, he was captured and deported to the Auschwitz concentration camp.
