Una Noche Picante en el Biomuseo
You are invited to spend a “Spicy” night in the Biomuseo. Discover how aji conquered the palate of the world. Get to know the new temporary exhibition and be surprised by a spectacular night tour through the permanent galleries of the museum and enjoy a super atmosphere, where there will be sale of food, beverages and beers.
Picante will allow visitors to the Biomuseo to immerse themselves in a unique and diverse experience through audiovisual, historical, gastronomic and artistic content, which will show the epic
adventure of five species of chili domesticated in America: Campsicum annum, Capsicumchinense, Capsicum frutescens, Capsicum baccatum and Capsicum pubescens.
“The interesting thing about this exhibition is that we will show how a plant that used to be a wild bush of the American forest became one of the most important ingredients in world cuisine,” said Darién Montañez, curator of the Biomuseo. “It’s really one of the most successful conquest campaigns in history.”.
