Vicente Feliú: Arte po(r)ética
They are invited to the concert of the Cuban singer-songwriter “Vicente Feliú: Art po (r) ethics”, this talented musician will take you on a sensory journey through a beautiful repertoire, full of poems made songs. The musician who is one of the pioneering voices and representative of the so-called Nueva Trova Movement, will give an unprecedented recital on Friday, March 15, at 8:00 p.m. at the Omar Torrijos Foundation.
Vicente Feliú: was born in Havana on November 11, 1947, in the bosom of a family fond of music. In February 1968 he participated in the first concert of what would later become the Nueva Trova, at the Casa de las Américas, along with Pablo Milanés, Silvio Rodríguez, Noel Nicola, Martín Rojas and Eduardo Ramos.
It has twelve personal discs. He has traveled to more than thirty countries in the Americas, Europe and Africa. He has composed music for film and theater, and worked as a musician, assistant and director of shows, screenwriter and director of radio programs. He was music consultant for the Cuban Institute of Radio and Television. Since 2000 he is General Coordinator of the Center for the Latin American Song Canto de Todos.
